I’ve come to believe that it's never too late to find your authentic voice, your next calling. In my years in communications and marketing, I enjoyed business and technical writing. But more personal creativity was on hold. Today I'm immersed in the joys and challenges of writing poetry, song lyrics, learning acoustic guitar. I also play ukulele with an incredible group of women. I encourage all aspiring writers, artists, musicians, dreamers to shake off your self-critic. Even taking a small creative risk can help you overcome the common blocks of inertia and fear. As Julia Cameron says in The Artist's Way, "leap and the net will appear."
